Our Story

Home is where we start. Adventure is where we go.

We’re Scott and Kristen, and Remotely RV is our way of sharing a life that makes room for home, work, and a little more adventure.

Our home base is St. Petersburg, Florida. When we head out in our RV, we bring our work with us, giving us time to explore beyond a quick weekend getaway. Traveling for two or three months at a time lets us experience different places while keeping a home we love coming back to.

Our home on the road

We bought our 2018 Grand Design 2600RB in June 2020. Since then, we’ve visited more than 50 RV parks, traveling together with our dog along for the adventure.

Each trip gives us something new to share: a campground worth returning to, a place we’re glad we explored, or a lesson that makes the next trip a little easier. That firsthand experience is the foundation of Remotely RV.

Making room for work and adventure

Working remotely is part of how we make extended RV travel possible. There are still workdays, schedules, and everyday responsibilities. The scenery just changes.

We’re figuring out the balance as we go, and sharing what we learn along the way. For us, the appeal is having time to enjoy the places we visit, then returning home with a few more stories and ideas for the next trip.

What you’ll find here

Remotely RV brings together honest campground reviews, stories from the road, practical remote work insights, and RV living and gear experiences. We share what worked for us, what didn’t, and the details we’d want to know before planning a trip ourselves.

If you’re looking for ways to fit more travel into your life while keeping a home base, we hope our experiences help you plan your own version of the adventure.
